At Launceston Distillery we produce hand-crafted, small-batch whisky. Using traditional techniques and craftsmanship, Tasmanian malted barley and pure river water are combined to produce the finest quality single malt whisky. From grain to bottle everything happens under the roof of Hangar 17 at Launceston Airport. Visit us to learn how we make our whisky – starting by extracting sugar from the malted barley, producing alcohol during fermentation, then distilling the spirit and finally maturing the whisky in oak casks. Bottled whisky aged in apera (Australian style sherry)  bourbon, and tawny (Australian style port) casks is available to taste and buy at the distillery or online. We are located 1 km south of the Launceston Airport terminal, in Hangar 17,  at 287 Evandale Rd, Western Junction, TAS 7212
