Recently described by a national craft brewing blogger as “wantonly uncool”, Seven Sheds head brewer Willie Simpson isn’t inclined to follow brewing trends, focusing instead on producing a range of flavoursome beers that match well with a broad range of foods. The range is firmly grounded in English and European brewing traditions with several lines infused with fine, locally-sourced produce ranging from quinoa to Kentish cherries.
Railton-based Seven Sheds is one of Tasmania’s oldest craft breweries and offers a range of classic and seasonal brews to purchase on-line and in person at the cellar door. These include a pilsner and a golden ale, flagship Kentish Ale, chocolate-infused Black Inca, St Ella India Pale Ale, an organic oatmeal stout and a wood-aged cherry sour, plus more.
