The Strahan Wilderness Lodge was built in the 1890’s as Mt Lyell Mine Managers residence in Gormanston. It was moved to it’s current position in the 1980’s where it has been operating as one of Strahan’s longest running tourist accommodation places. You can choose from a self contained Harbour View Suite with kitchenette & bathroom or one of our 5 private guest bedrooms, each with own ensuite. There is also a shared guest lounge/TV/Dining room with fridge, microwave, toaster, tea & coffee making facilities. BBQ facilities, fire pot and picnic spots over looking Macquarie Harbour. Surrounded by nature and only 3 minutes drive to the centre of town.
