Taste of TamO’Shanter is a multi award winning business based on the North East Coast of this beautiful island.  The journey began long before I realised this would be the path I would take.  Growing up on an isolated property in Northern Tasmania growing all our fruit and vegetables, then spending hours in our little kitchen preserving our surplus into all sorts of tasty delights.   

It took many years to realise that pickling and preserving isn’t just a passion it is in my blood. The majority of Taste of TamO’Shanters recipes have been born using age old techniques then adding our own modern twist where we think it’s needed.  Some of our recipes have taken years to develop and some have been first attempt successes.

Our other great passion is the gardens where we grow the majority of our main ingredients nurturing our seedling to grow the best crop nature will allow.  The Bass Strait winds can be destructive but they also bring nutrients and amazing clean air that we think helps with flavour of our crops.  If we can’t grow our own we buy from other like minded local produces in the area.

We make all our products in small batches so that our flavours that we work so hard to create aren’t lost in the process.  

Taste of TamO’Shanter has many gold medal products from the Hobart Fine Food Awards as well as Champion Savoury Preserve for our Pickled Cucumbers, we really hope you enjoy our products as much as we enjoy creating them for you.
