The Spindle Tree is a fibre co-operative based in the Salamanca Arts Centre where it has held an iconic place for over 30 years and supports over 25 artisans.   We are home to Tasmanian yarns like Merino, Polwarth and Alpaca. Speciality fibres are available plus knitting and felting needles and crochet hooks. Advice is freely given plus dyes for the home crafter. Not crafty? then we can help you with a bespoke garment either knitted or woven. New borns to school age are well catered for with a range of items. The shop is home to two unique Tasmanian designed and crafted items, “The Rocking Ram” and the Cygnet Tartan   A wide range of accessories like gloves, scarves and hats. Gifts and cards plus a variety of Tasmanian timber products. Our Christmas display is eagerly awaited from early November and features eclectic range. Open from 10am until 3pm Wed-Sat from June 3rd.
