UNIO is is the name of jewellery designed by Tasmanian artist Anne Langman who has an obsession for creating pieces that will be treasured and that that embody true value. UNIO is a result of a passion for combining beautiful gemstones, pearls, coral, crystals and silver to create unique designs.
UNIO pieces are designed to be timeless and use only superior quality materials that are sourced from over 100 suppliers from all over the world. Whether it is turquoise from Egypt and Arizona, onyx from Spain, Brazilian palm nut from South America, agate from Mexico and rhodochrosite from Argentina, Anne endeavours to source only the best for inclusion in UNIO designs.
Every effort is made to ensure that the materials are sourced from reputable suppliers and Anne has a particular preference for using materials that she knows are supporting communities through Fair Trade practices. For instance, the Brazilian Palm Nut is produced throughout South America and The Amazon by small groups and families. The UNIO source for this material works directly with these individuals to help ensure they are compensated fully for their talents.
Anne finds inspiration from many things, including the latest colours and ‘looks’ to come out of Europe. Often a single image unrelated to jewellery or fashion will inspire a new design or a new combination of colours.
