Zoodoo Zoo is a Zoo and Aquarium Association Accredited, guest funded Wildlife Park that has been serving the Tasmanian community for 20 years, providing unique opportunities to learn about, appreciate and interact with animals. In its 21st year of operation and under new ownership and management, the passionate Zoodoo Crew are creating an exciting new direction and vision for the future of the zoo that will be centered on partnerships, collaboration, and local community engagement – moving towards promoting a sustainable futures approach for the planet and humanity – and becoming much more than a zoo! Open 9am-5pm 6 days a week (currently closed Tuesdays), Zoodoo offers amazing wildlife experiences and encounters, along with interactive educational presentations and a new and improved café and gift shop. Included in the entry fee are our safari walk-and-talk tours which invite guests to hand-feed large animals such as Emus, Camels and Zebras. The Safari bus is temporarily unavailable, due to physical distancing requirements. Daily Animal Presentation begin at 11am and 2pm daily. At these presentations, guests are able to feed a Lion, learn about Tassie Devils and meet the zoo’s friendly birds! Zoodoo is well known for its close encounters with animals. Guests are invited to get up close and feed Kangaroos and Wallabies in the walk-through Native Park, wander through the large bird aviary, and get up close and personal to furry, feathery, and scaly creatures during many of our regular presentations. Our recently renovated café is an ideal place to sit out of the weather with a coffee, while the playland area – consisting of a large adventure playground – is a great place for children to use up any extra energy whilst parents take a breather.
